It makes you wonder what the cut off is- what is exactly the right amount of blasphemy? Infectious, danceable drum beat- check. Wicked cool, feedback laden guitar that makes the ghost of Jimi Hendrix weep- check. Lyrics that are blasphemous, offensive to most christian people's sensibilities- check. This is rock and roll at its very vest. It's cool that this song went to #10 in the UK- in an alternate universe somewhere, this song went to #1 worldwide and soon after the Pope and Pat Robertson were sharing a street corner somewhere to pan handle for their drug money.
